Welcome

Eileen Putter, MS, LMHC

Eileen Putter has been a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor for over 25 years.  She has worked as a Hospice Bereavement Counselor & Coordinator for 13 years, where she counseled adults, adolescents, and families, as they worked through their grief.

Eileen believes in the importance of...

  • Experiencing one's grief through the outward expression of one's feelings & thoughts.

  • Going through the grief process so that one does not live with unresolved grief.

  • Identifying and utilizing one's strengths & resources in coping with the loss of a loved one.

  • Allowing each individual to grieve in his or her own unique way and his or her own time.

  • Always instilling hope in a bereaved person's view of his or her new world.

  • Professional support & guidance through the grief process after the death of a loved one.

  • Short-term counseling where the counselor serves as a guide & resource as one works towards healing.

Eileen uses the following approaches in her Practice...

  • Client-Centered

  • Psycho-Social

  • Empathy

  • Genuiness

  • Unconditional Positive Regard

  • Encouragement

Eileen sees clients in their own homes in the Bellevue or Seattle areas, or in her Bellevue office.

She accepts fees for service and will use a sliding fee scale, if needed.

Loss and grief are a part of every person's life experience at one time or another. Few are prepared to deal with the death of a loved one.

My goal, as a bereavement counselor, is to offer a therapeutic

environment where the grieving client is able to openly express and reflect about their personal experience with loss.

I believe that each client has their own answers, therefore,

I like to think of myself as a caring facilitator who helps guide individuals through their own unique grief process as they work toward healing.
